Mike was brought up in Chester, and after stretches in Stoke, Durham and Leeds found himself a resident of Kent. He started out as a Engineering Geologist but after a number of years drifted to the Bar and is now a Barrister, practicing from Chambers in London, mainly in the fields of planning law and crime. He has been running half-marathons and marathons since 1984 and has recently taken part in his first triathlon. Mike doesn’t think there are many miles left in his knees and he is looking forward to the MDS as the “last great challenge” of his 30’s!! |

George is a Greek-American presently residing in Columbus, Ohio. He is a graduate of Durham University and is a real estate consultant who is a keen runner, golfer and connoisseur of real ale. George is Paul's brother-in-law and at 42 he is the “grand-daddy” of Team Odyssey. It was at Paul's 40th birthday bash that he was signed up for sand marathon adventure. He plans to retire to a Greek island upon completion of the MDS. |
